There had been no sunset and no blue hour but the light was bruised and soft like a large blanket falling on the trees giving the reflections even more of a unique atmosphere and tranquility.Ī moment I will never forget. Back on the main road A591 was surreal, this was when I got the amazing moments I will never forget, not a car not a person, a drive back through the Lakes with no-one around is unheard of! BUT! What happened next was amazing, Thirlmere I had left was like a mill pond flat and calm with Beautiful reflections but then Grassmere was flat! Stunning mirror like reflections, then Rydal water was flat, perfect mirror! Of course I stopped at them all jumping out and taking hand helds of the boat houses and trees on the far bank. What is Minimalist Photography Minimalist. I headed back towards the car and thought I had got some good shots, chatting away on camera to round up my vlog (Sithee!). It appears not only in art forms, but there is a trend of minimalist lifestyle too. Lots of fun investigating and just taking in the amazing views surrounded by mountains. Which was a great opportunity to get right out on the bed of the reservoir, revealing stumps of ancient trees and and huge boulders.

The walk around the west side of Thirlmere is untouched and natural, the water levels where extremely low. This didn’t help, because what I was about to see and experience will stay with me forever. When you approach a workflow, lifestyle, or art which is truly simple it is sublime. Yet I realize the true value in my photos are the simple, yet emotionally-complex images. In my photography, I get tempted to make my photos more complex. As the shoot went on I got more and more emotional, to the point I had to head back. Of course it isn’t perfect, but everyday I endeavor to make it more simple to use, but more valuable.
